Ingredients:
2 cups of Spelt Flour
1/2 cup of water
1 Tbsp of Apple Cider Vinegar
2 Tsp of Himalayan salt
1 Tsp of Cinnamon
1 Tbsp of T's Seasoning ( can be made without )
1 Tbsp of baking soda
Grapeseed Oil
1/3 - 1/2 cup of Coconut Sugar
Coconut Oil(optional)
Almond Milk
Pour the Spelt Flour in a large bowl. Add the coconut sugar, Himalayan salt, cinnamon, T's Seasoning and Baking soda and stir until it's all blended.
In a separate bowl, mix the water and apple cider vinegar..
Then add 1 tbsp of almond milk and beat until the dough forms into a ball.
If the dough is sticky, add additional Spelt flour, 1 tablespoon at a time, until the dough comes together in a solid ball. If the dough is too dry, add additional almond milk, 1/2 tablespoon at a time and knead until the you get a smooth, firm ball.
Now, place ball on your dusted work surface and using your hand flatten the ball by pressing down on it slightly. Tear off a small piece of the dough and use the rolling pin to roll out the piece into a 4 or 5 inch circle (give or take). Remember you’re making pita bread, not tortillas, so make sure not to roll out the dough completely flat. Continue rolling out the dough piece by piece until it's all gone.
Lastly, begin cooking flattened dough on the stove top (using a non-stick pan) or a hot plate. Using a non-stick skillet, cook the flattened dough on medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes on each side. Once all the dough is gone, let cool and enjoy.. Health First!
